The meeting was called to order by Barbara Carroll at 6:00 p.m.

Motion to accept agenda made by Wayne Hobbs, seconded by Robert Spirito; unanimous approval.

C. Review of Minutes

Motion to accept minutes made by Mary Blair, seconded by Robert Spirito; Bill Bixby and Shirley Wayne Washington abstained.

D. Internal Affairs Statistical Report (distribution by Reginald Thomas)

Motion to accept made by Ann Tramontana; seconded by Maureen O'Sullivan

E. IA Remarks

Captain Peterson reported on IA activities, workload and training. New intern has started to work in the IA office. There was discussion on CRB review procedures to be utilized.

F. Open Floor

Discussion regarding CRB Coordinator position

G. Subcommittee Reports

Shirley Wayne Washington reported on NACOLE activities.

Bob Spirito, of the DMT, reported an event scheduled for next Tuesday, May 19th

H. Unfinished Business

Discussion on review of closed cases.

I. New Business
Secretary Nominations - Bob Spirito nominated Wayne Hobbs (accepted); Catherine Gootkin and Shirley Wayne Washington seconded. Nominations were closed. Wayne Hobbs is unopposed as Secretary.

11 Present: William Bixby, Mary Blair, Barbara Carroll, Catherine Gootkin, Wayne Hobbs, Sarah McIver, Maureen O'Sullivan, Kathleen Smith-Bogan, Robert Spirito, Ann Tramontana and Shirley Wayne Washington.

The next regular monthly meeting of the Civilian Review Board is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2009, at New Haven Police Department Headquarters , One Union Avenue, 3rd Floor, at 6:00 p.m..
